ADMISSION
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must possess a good bachelor’s degree in any field of the Social Sciences or Management Sciences. Also, good degree in some selected field in the Arts/Humanities; including History, International Relations, Law etc with a CGPA of not less than second class lower on a 5-point scale from a reputable University, shall be considered.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree with Second Class Honours in Economics, Political Science, Finance, Foreign Languages, Accounting, History, Marketing, Management, Geography or related field or Law from recognized institutions. However, candidates in the trade related industry with at least five years working experience with degrees outside the disciplines mentioned above can also be considered for admission into the programme. A CGPA of not less than 2.50 point on a five (5) point scale of the University of Port Harcourt or other institutions recognized by the Senate.
METHOD OF APPLICATION:
Obtain the Application form online or from the Institute’s Office (Institute of International Trade and Development, Delta Park, University of Port Harcourt) on presentation of an evidence of payment of a non-refundable application fee of ₦25,000.00 (twenty-five thousand naira) only.

The aim of this Masters Degree Programme is to provide graduates with broad-based training required for sound knowledge, skills and expertise in:
International Trade and Development,
Customs Administration/Border Management,
Ports Management and Maritime Administration,
and
Shipping and Maritime Security.
The duration of the M.Sc Programme is 12 calendar months
Upon presentation of the seminars, successful candidate will take an oral external defence of the work before a Board of examiners setup in accordance with the regulations of School of Graduate Studies.
The M.Sc degree is awarded upon satisfactory performance in the oral examination and fulfilment of all University and Centre requirements.
